About Us

Christian

Christian was born to Wilmer and Linda DeWolfe in Mountain View, California in the early 1970's.  He grew up as the youngest of 5 brothers in Sunnyvale and San Jose.  He works as a Technician for PakTeck in Eugene.  He travels a lot and gets to see the world.  He has a beautiful daughter named Brittany and a 9 year old Lab/Boxer mix dog named Eddie.  He enjoys painting, gardening, rock climbing, hiking, riding bikes, target shooting and spending time with his family.  He is an artist, many paintings in the house are his.  He is very good at any hobby he tries his hand at.

Stephanie

Stephanie was born to Stephen Lique and Catherine Schwab in San Bernardino, California in the late 1970's.  She grew up in Newberry Springs as the middle child between two brothers.  She served in the US Coast guard and has worked in the Financial Sector of the Construction industry before becoming a stay at home mom and homeschooling her son Trace.  She enjoys sewing and has a pretty successful little business. She loves gardening, blogging, baking, hiking, riding her bike and just being with her family.

Christian and Stephanie

They met in August of 2008.  Victor Rivas had been trying to set them up for a long time, but it just never seemed to happen.  Then during one of Steph and Victor's spaghetti dinners, Victor invited Christian over to join.  Stephanie being of no mind or will to even take on a boyfriend and Christian reeling from a bad breakup himself, they made no advances and just enjoyed each others company.  It had been months again since they spoke.  Christian needed someone to hang out with and Stephanie did to... Both parties going into the friendship with no illusion of romance.  A week later, you couldn't separate the two.  Christian became best friend's with Trace and Stephanie adopted Eddie as her own.  In March of 2011 the family took a trip to Disneyland for Spring Break.  What an adventure.  Everything that could go wrong... did.  After two snow storms and 48 hours on the road they arrived in Anaheim. Christian was waiting for the fireworks that night.  He was going to get down on one knee in front of the whole land of Disney.  Just as he was going to do it.... they called the fireworks off.  Seeing his frustration and realizing what he was about to do, Stephanie told him not to stress, that there would be other opportunities for a memorable proposal and she was in no rush.  After Disneyland, they drove out to Newberry Springs where Stephanie had grown up.  Her best friend Danny took them on a midnight trip up into the mountains to Stephanie's favorite place on the planet.  As they hiked down to the edge of the overlook on the canyon, you couldn't see anything but the dark blanket of the sky and feel the wind blowing gently.  The smell of rain in the desert is indescribable and the breeze was mixing up a potent romantic aroma.  Danny had hiked off with the kids and Stephanie and Christian were alone on the stream bed that had once been a waterfall's starting point.  Christian grabbed Stephanie and romantically asked her to share a life together.  In Stephanie's eyes there is no way she could say no.  Not only was she in her favorite spot in the world, she was with the most amazing man on the planet.  She said yes... and so their story begins.
